Emma Herring has worked for a range of clients from large global
companies through to public sector organisations and trade unions,
producing publications, websites and providing strategic communications
advice.
Her clients have included Amoco, Macmillan Cancer Relief, Marks & Spencer, East of England Development Agency as well as the clients listed below.
Chevron
Emma produces a quarterly magazine for the US oil company
Chevron's downstream operations in Europe. The magazine was developed as
part of an overall employee communications strategy which also includes
a company intranet site.
Emma manages the production of the magazine from originating ideas for
news stories and features through to copywriting and managing the design
process, print and distribution. She also works on various projects such
as speech writing, producing brochures, copywriting for annual reports
and PR and internal communications assignments.
Texaco
As a feature writer on Texaco's award-winning global Agenda
International magazine, Emma travelled extensively to company
operations around the world. She worked on features ranging from the use
of gasification technology at a refinery in Italy, through to marketing
operations in the Caribbean and interviewing senior executives at the
company's head office in New York. She was recognised for turning
complex subjects into to interesting and lively features. The Magazine
won two PR Week awards and the International Association of Business
Communicators Golden Quill Award.
Emma also worked on the successful launch of Texaco's global intranet site
and when the merger between Chevron and Texaco was announced she was
selected as a member of the merger integration team in London and San
Francisco working on the editorial project for the launch of a new
company intranet site.
Coca-Cola
As a writer and editor of a magazine for Coca-Cola's Middle East and
North Africa Division, Emma wrote features and news stories for
a publication which was also produced in English and Arabic. She also
was asked to contribute to a global PR news network, researching and
writing articles.
National Union of Teachers
Since 2000, Emma has edited an annual publication for newly
qualified teachers applying for their first teaching post called First
Post. She has also carried out a range of writing and editing
assignments.
 Emma contributed a number of features to the magazine of the British Association of Communicators in Business.
